This member of the Lamiaceae family was given this name by Codd in 1961. It is found in North-East South Africa, growing in a well drained soil with some water and lots of sun. The plant will raise for up to one meter. The flowers are purple.

After having seen the plant my selves, I lean to the conclusion; it is not a caudiciform, although it have slightly swollen roots.
