Habitat in Sodwana, South Africa.

    This member of the Anthericaceae  family was described by Carl Sigismund Kunth in 1843. It is found in South Africa, growing in sand with some water and lots of sun. The bulb grow up to three centimetres in diameter, the whole plant up to 20 centimetres. The flowers are white with a dark stripe.
