This member of the Aizoaceae family was
given this name by
Martin Heinrich Gustav Schwantes in 1926. It's from southern Africa, growing in well-drained
soil, some water and sun. The caudex grows to 30 centimetres, the stems to 60 centimetres. The flowers are white to pink, and
besides seeds, it can be also
reproduced by cuttings.
Seen as a Facioidaceae in IPNI, and also
as a Mesembryanthemaceae.
