Another time

This big boulder of Pandekagestenen is found in the forest north of Denmark's oldest Inn; Bromølle Kro, dating back to 1198.

Location: Slagelsevej 78, 4450 Jyderup. 350 metres north along the Slagelsevej, then a small gravel road leads into the forest. As far as I recal, the bolder is to the left of the road, around 800 metres along the trail.
GPS: Around 55.618245,11.385882

Size: 2 metres high, 4 metres wide and 6,6 meters long.

Meaning of the name: Pancake Stone

Material: Gneiss

Origin: ?

Legend: It is said it flips-over, when it can smell fresh baked pancakes, for it is so much like pancakes. To judge from the mosses, that have not happened for quite some time!
A troll from Tissø threw the stone at Regstrup Church in Nørre Jernløse, because he was tired of listening to the church bells. There was not enough power in the throw, and the stone landed in Bredevangsskoven.
