This member of the
Asphodelaceae family was described by Carl Linnaeus in 1753. It is found in Botswana and
South Africa, growing in a well drained soil with little to
some water and lots of sun. The plant will raise to 30 centimetres
and get ping to reddish flowers.
The whole plant is
poisonous.
Also seen as
Liliaceae, which is the old family.
These are
wild plants from South Africa in Little Karoo near Oudtshoorn.
