This, in nature extinct
bush from the Fabaceae family was given this name by Carl
Johan Fredrik Skottsberg in 1922. It was only found on Rapa Nui
(Easter Islands), and hopefully, it will again some day. It grows in
a well drained loam compost with some water and some to lots of sun.
Sadly, it has been extinct in the
wild. Only last tree was known from 1917 to 1962, but it is said
there exist at least two clones.
Subfamily: Faboideae. Tribe:
Sophoreae
